Where I have been…
So far most of my travel experiences have been in South East Asia, predominantly China as I have worked and lived here for more than six years and still counting. There is still a fair bit for me to explore in SE Asia and even more in China itself. I hope to continue in this part of the globe for years to come.
Most recent backpacking trips…
In January and February of last year I finally embarked on my first East Africa trip. Although I haven’t been to every place yet, the places I did visit were mind blowing. My 7-week trip included 3 weeks in Tanzania, 1 week in Zanzibar followed by 3 weeks in Kenya. Look out for my upcoming articles.
Where I’ve just been…
Road-trip Uganda & Rwanda from January 9-22 2018.
Uganda: 5-day Eastern package in Jinja with countless activities plus 3-day Gorilla trekking in the Bwindi forest.
Rwanda: 4-day exploration including the Genocide Museum and much more.
See recently published article for a detailed breakdown of my itinerary. Also travel articles on the various activities I took part in whilst there.
Where to go next…
Unconfirmed itinerary: Mongolia July 2018 & Ethiopia August 2018
Short-term relocation: Morocco September 2018
Mongolia: I have a loose plan to visit Mongolia in time for the Nadaam Festival early-mid July. After visiting Inner Mongolia, I thought it would be a good idea to compare the two.
Ethiopia: Depending on the countries safety at that time, I hope to spend the month of August travelling the country to see anything and everything. I’ve only heard amazing things so I am curious to experience them.
The months leading up to July/August I will be working in Qingdao, China to save up those pennies.
Morocco: I would like to take on a short term teaching post to experience something different from my many years teaching in China. Plus from there I can visit Egypt too.
After that, who knows where the wind will take me, although I am sure I will make the most of any opportunity I get which means I will write about it so my readers can experience it with me.
